The “Godfather Of AI,” Geoffrey Hinton, Issues A Technology Warning As He Leaves Google.

Geoffrey Hinton, an AI pioneer and former Google employee, issues a cautionary note on the use of technology and AI.
The renowned "Godfather of AI," Geoffrey Hinton, resigned from his position at Google last week in order to raise awareness of the risks connected with the emerging technology.

Artificial systems that serve as the foundation for many cutting-edge technology products were formed by Hinton’s groundbreaking work on neural networks.

Since he had doubts about the area and his involvement in its growth, Geoffrey Hinton spent a decade working on Google’s artificial intelligence projects on the side.

However, Geoffrey Hinton is primarily recognised for his ongoing work at the University of Toronto in deep learning and neural networks. He forewarned the public about the dangers of corporate AI arms races and lax laws based on his experiences.

In his tweet, he claimed that Google had acted very responsibly and added, “I left so that I could speak up about the dangers of AI without considering how this impacts Google.”
