Chinese ‘flying car’ makes first public flight in Dubai

The X2 is a two-seater electric perpendicular take-off and wharf(eVTOL) aircraft that’s lifted by eight propellers- two at each corner of the vehicle.

Monday’s unmanned, 90- nanosecond test flight in Dubai was described by its manufacturer as an “important base for the coming generation of flying buses.”

“We’re making step-by-step (moves) to the transnational request,” said Minguan Qiu, general director of Xpeng Aeroht.

“First, we named Dubai megacity because Dubai is the most innovative megacity in the world.”
