TikTok Has Launched A New Mental Health Awareness Centre To Empower Users With Tools

With a TikTok ban approaching in the United States, the business is launching a new mental health awareness portal to help users learn about well-being subjects and connect with activists and support organisations that provide valuable resources. Users must go to the #MentalHealthAwareness hashtag page and touch on the link in the description to access the new hub.

Throughout May, the hub will be updated to feature new educational films, producers focused on mental health and wellness, and organisations dedicated to spreading mental health awareness.

TikTok is also donating over $2 million in ad credits to mental health organisations such as the Alliance for Eating Disorders, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Crisis Text Line, Made of Millions, National Alliance on Mental Illness, National Eating Disorders Association, and others.

TikTok will also hold a series of training sessions to provide its partners with the tools they need to communicate information with their communities around important times, such as World Mental Health Day in October or back-to-school season.
