According to Tiktok’s Community Guidelines Enforcement Report released on Monday, the well-known video-sharing website deleted over 25 million videos in Pakistan during the second quarter of 2025 (April–June) due to violations of community guidelines.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has banned Tiktok several times in the nation due to concerns about its pornographic and immoral content. After the business promised the telecom regulator that it would block accounts “spreading obscenity,” the initial restriction, which was imposed in October 2020, was lifted ten days later.

“TikTok removed a total of 25,448,992 videos in Pakistan for Community Guidelines violations,” the well-known video-sharing website stated in a press statement.

According to the platform, “TikTok proactively removed 99.7% of the videos, with 96.2 percent of these videos removed within 24 hours.”

In order to ensure that its global community has a great experience, TikTok has taken proactive measures to identify and remove content that violates its Community Guidelines, according to the press release. The research covers data from April to June 2025.

The platform deleted “a total of 189m videos” worldwide, which made up 0.7% of all the content that was published.

“Of the removed videos, 7,457,309 were reinstated after further review, while 163,962,241 were detected and taken down using automated detection technologies,” the statement went on.

“With 94.4 percent of the flagged content removed within 24 hours of posting, the proactive removal rate was 99.1 percent,” it continued.

According to the site, “76,991,660 fake accounts were removed this quarter, along with an additional 25,904,708 accounts that were suspected to be under the age of 13 in order to uphold TikTok’s integrity.”

According to the report, “sensitive or mature themes that did not align with TikTok’s content policies were present in a significant portion of the total removed videos worldwide — 30.6pc.”

“6.1% of videos violated privacy and security policies, and another 14 percent violated the platform’s safety and civility standards.”

According to the video-sharing platform, “45 percent of the removed videos were flagged as misinformation, and 23.8 percent of the removed videos were flagged as edited media and AI-generated content.”

According to the platform’s Q1 2025 report, between January and March of this year, 24,954,128 videos were removed from Pakistan.
