Google on Sunday joined Pakistanis to celebrate the country’s 75th Independence Day by featuring major Frere Hall’s portrait.

“ Moment’s Doodle celebrates the 75th Independence Day in Pakistan! On this day in 1947, Pakistan gained independence and came a autonomous nation. This public vacation also commemorates the deeds and patrimonies of Pakistan’s authors, ” the tech mammoth said in a communication.

The statement further said, “ moment’s artwork features Frere Hall in Karachi, which was erected to serve as a city hall in 1865. The major structure is now a popular sightseer destination that houses Karachi’s largest library, the Liaquat National Library, with a collection of further than, 70,000 books and calligraphies. ”

In 1980, notorious Pakistani artist Sadequain was chosen to embellish the hall’s ceilings.

The Independence Day fests started with a 31- gun salutation in Islamabad, followed by flag- raising observances at presidential and congress structures.
