Apple is currently developing a product line for smart homes after relaunching its larger HomePod speaker.

A faster TV set-top box and smart displays will fall under this category. It’s likely that the company will start with a cheap iPad that can control lights, thermostats, and FaceTime conversations.

These items can be mounted to walls or other surfaces using magnetic fasteners to become household appliances. Apple has also redesigned the Home app to accommodate and control more products.

Bloomberg reports that the business has agreed to support the brand-new Matter protocol. Apple will be able to collaborate with rivals via Matter Protocol.

Apple is currently experiencing difficulties in the smart home market. However, Google and Amazon will face competition from the new product line in the category.
